Hairs are slowly growing back!

WOW! I was talking to my mother today when she told me very good news. Her hairs have started to come back, slowly growing. Although she has already adapted herself really well with the situation (no hairs and eyebrows), but she was very excited when she was telling me about her hairs. I’m so much happy! :-)

It seems the second series of chemotherapy drugs (since 5th one) have less destructive effect on hair cells, and they're slowly recovering themselves from the damages. That's how the healthy body cells recover from drug destructive effects but the cancer ones dies because of not being able to recover. I'm just praying that every single cancer cell in my mother's body DIES and GETS DESTRUCTED.

I'd already read on the net about hairs starting to grow back before the end of chemotherapy, but when I told my mother about it she just simply didn't believe it. Now I’m happy to see this happen, although it was a bit surprising for me as well since I was expecting this to happen some when after 6th session. Every single new growing hair gives my mother the strong perception of getting recovered from this damn disease along with a bright future...

Thank you! :-)

Yesterday, I’d gone to visit my mother when I got the time to show her your latest supportive comments, direct messages and lit candles.

She was so happy and excited about how many people have already posted here caring and asking about her situation and treatment process, while keeping her in their prayers. Then she asked me to post here a THANK YOU blog entry to all of you guys who have visited this website and supported her at any way : - ) She told me that she would be strong (as always) and wouldn’t lose her hope! She’s on the way to get well soon!

Please keep your supportive and positive comments and prayers coming... God bless you all!

Status Report [updated]

My mother is feeling good today after the ant-sensitivity drug injections, and the redness in her face has been mostly disappeared. But it’s still a bit inflated which gets lesser and lesser each day.

I’m happy to see my mother getting well again while keep praying for way better days...

Status Report

Two days after fifth Chemotherapy session, and my mother doesn’t feel good since yesterday. It seems that the drugs side effects have been started.

She says that she feels somehow different from previous times, and it’s maybe because of the new drugs. Her body will need time to get adapted. Not direct digestive problems but she doesn’t feel good from her bowel. Moreover, her face skin has gone red and is itching which is so annoying. We don’t know whether it’s a side effect of the drugs or something different.

We called the oncologist but couldn’t find him on his mobile, so my father decided to take my mom to hospital anyways. They’d talked to the doctor about my mother’s situations, and he’d assured that it isn’t any serious problem. He’d injected an anti-sensitivity drug and after a few hours my mother was feeling better with less itching! There will be two further injections in next two days.

Fifth session of Chemotherapy

Today another Chemotherapy session was done on my mother. My father took my mom to this "special diseases" hospital, and everything went smooth like previous two sessions.

Moreover, blood analysis didn’t show any problem with my mother (causing by drugs or so), and I’m very happy about this. On the other hand, I’m a bit worried about side effects of the new drugs they’ve injected this time, although oncologist assured us about lower drug dosage and lesser side effects.

All in all, my mother feels fine today, just like the first day of all previous Chemotherapy sessions. I just keep praying for her not to experience any bad side effects and to step strong toward a bright future. Amen!
