Abdomen ultrasonography and X-Ray Chest Photo โ There are two hypo-echoic areas on liver
This afternoon, my mother had gone for abdomen, breast and under-arm lymph nodes ultrasonography and X-Ray chest photo. And it was a few hours ago when she called me to say that she's back to home with the results, and asked me to go there to see if everything is okay.
I went there, while being pretty sure that there shouldn't be anything. Fortunately her lungs showed clear at x-ray photo (written result from lab). But there were two hypo-echoic areas/masses, one more than previous time, on her liver, which made me surprised and suspicious. One of them was on right lobe and another on left lobe of liver. My mother has already had two abdomen ultrasonographies but only one had shown (which was not dangerous) so far, to my surprise!
I got somehow worried but didn't allow my mother to know, since she's got so sensitive to this damn disease. I had to talk to the doctor. I called our oncologist and read the written result for him. He asked me to visit him as soon as possible to arrange a CT-Scan for precise results.
This time, my mother asked what was going on. And I had to explain the situation for her. She was very worried of reoccurrence of her cancer, and immediately thought that she might repeat her chemotherapy. She hates the chemotherapy period, both for feeling bad (because of the medicines) and for losing her whole hairs. I can fully understand her concern. You know it's just a few months she's got her hairs back (like 2cm) along with her eye lashes, and is afraid to lose them again. Immediately she got uncertain about the future and cried a bit :-( It's nothing to worse than seeing your lovely one is feeling pain and you can't do much...
I just assured her that she was exaggerating everything, and it was nothing that important to worry about. We should just track it to make sure everything is normal. That's all! I told her that her blood analysis hasn't shown anything so far, so there was high possibility that the new hypo-echoic area was not dangerous at all (like the first one). After a bit of talking to her, she was convinced to not worry that much. And that we will consult with her surgeon (which did the mastectomy) and will double check the results with him as well.
For tomorrow, the oncologist won't be at his clinic, so I guess we'll first check these with my mother's surgeon. The surgeon will be available for evening. Guys just pray for my mother, please, please...
Pray for my mom, please...
